How is the Viera/Melbourne area? I'm moving out there from Bradenton FL and i would like to know the area a bit. I drove out there last summer through the Viera area and it seem real nice. Any advice or comments about the area would be apreciated

Hey! I live in Melbourne (well Palm Bay, but I go to school in Melbourne). It is a really nice city, but there's not much "action." A lot of retired elder people live in Viera, but it's still very nice! The Avenues are probably the only reason I make it out there. Melbourne Beach and Indialantic is amazing if you like the beach...
out beaches are awesome if you find the right one.

Viera is new, springing up from the marshland around i-95 just in the last dozen years or so. So you get the good of new - clean modern and the bad of new - big-box, big-development, tiresome sameness.
Melbourne has been around a while and I would say compares with Bradenton on just about any level - and closer to the beach than Viera
