are you saying you are going through a bankruptcy? it will not be on your record until after you've filed in court. it will be on your record, however, for 10 years.

No matter your credit condition, you can always have it checked. You can do so yourself at annual credit report. And Yes, it is free. Oh, well, 1 free copy per credit reporting agency per year.

go to annualcreditreport.com you can check it there for free. no really i mean it is free
