Be warned, my answer can be a little disgusting if you put too much thought into it...lol
WAIT!! Hold on a minute...so you're supposed to 'EAT' toffees?
I thought they were rectal suppositories for haemarrhoids....lol
I had no idea they were food. Well, I'll tell you anyway what I do.....its not disgusting...just pretend I'm talking about my mouth....lol
I open wide, stick it in as far back as it will go and then I let out a burp (a bottom burp of course). Sometimes it shoots out and my face happens to be there (I'm very flexible...lol). It lands in my gob and I usually spit it out because it tastes so weird and smells so bad.
Thats why I thought it wasn't food....it was never supposed to go there in the first place......Oh well, lesson learned.

Depends on the toffee -- for soft ones, I can't resist the urge to chew. For harder or really tacky ones, I can't chew without worrying about my teeth, so I suck until it gets soft enough... then, CHOMP!
