How can violence in horror films influence people to be more violent?

I don't necessarily think it makes people more violent, but I do think it makes them less sensitive to violence and what it does to the victims of violence. It numbs them to it if they are subjected to it often enough. When something that should be shocking and horrifying loses that power, it becomes very dangerous to society.

Personally, it influences me to be LESS violent.
