Yes. You need a wireless router - the same ones work with both cable and DSL.

I presume you are asking if one can create a wireless LAN (local area network) and interface it with an Internet feed provided by the ComCast CATV provider.

A typical household grade LAN can be set up using a wireless access point and with wireless network adapters on all LAN devices. Many newer lap top pcs have built in wireless network adapters; almost no desk top machines come with wireless adapters. Should the wireless adapters not be provided, a notebook can use a pcmcia wireless adapter and a desk top can use a pci wireless adapter.

You will need a router to interface with the ComCast Ethernet Internet feed. The Internet feed from the ComCast modem connects to the WAN Port of the router. You may need a network switch which is the way wired devices, wired router LAN feed, wireless access point connection to the router, etc come together.

Many household grade wireless routers provide a single device that combines a router, wireless access point, and 4 port network switch into one item.

If you use wireless, be sure to activate wireless security or freeloaders will soon find you and hog your bandwidth and crash your network.

Sure. Just get a wireless router (about US$50) and connect it to your cable modem. Then connect all your computers to the router, either with wired or wireless connections. Setup will take no more than 15 minutes; it's very easy.
