The normal force is N = mg and the friction force is uN = umg where u is the coefficient of kinetic friction. Use Newton's Second Law:

F = ma = umg

a = ug

Now 2 a ( x - xo ) = v^2 - vo^2

x - xo is the distance traveled
a is what you just found
v, the final velocity, is zero
vo, the initial velocity, is 6.0 m/s
