I'm looking to heat an indoor area, similar to a cabin. (it's actually a garage, but quite large, with an upstairs).

I'm wondering if I could get some suggestions for specific products (LINKS TO THEIR SITE INCLUDED PLEASE!) based on:

Price
Efficiency
Value
Dependability
Fuel source (electric, oil, etc?)

Thanks to all who help!

http://www.heatershop.com/ sells some.

Electric heaters will be limited by how much power you can get through the power cord.

Oil, etc. will need venting, and a draft.

I understand Mitsubishi makes some low-power heat pumps, which might make sense if the temperature is not *too* cold.

but you may need a contractor to install it.

is the (US) consumer product safety brochure on
space heaters, and

is the WikiPedia entry.

If you have lots of vertical room, all the heat is likely to go to the top, unless you have some kind of circulation (fan)

(600 sq. ft. does not seem to be "quite large")
