most definately wear the short one, and add sheer black hose, with 3" open toed heels, some interesting bracelt, and necklace, deep dark red lipstick, dangly earings and you will be the envy of the party. Be yourself, don't worry so much about what the others think.

The little black number is nice to have for a party or funeral. Always good to have the black dress...When you do not have time or money to shop.....This is a Christmas party. If you can afford it get something with some color...I hope you can and will..
Also, I hope you are not serious about Cobby's answer. Open toe in the winter not& that is way to much jeweler.
I think you are asking because you know something went wrong last year......
This is not what you want said about you..Bob's wife was acting and dressed sluttie she was trying to get at my husband is that what happen last year not good
(tight dress?)..
.Now this would be good!.Bob's wife is a beautiful woman that wore a beautiful outfit and every eye was on her ...Bob is so lucky to have a wife with style and my old goat of a husband could not take his eyes off of her...If you are as pretty as your husband thinks then you do not need to flaunt it ..You need to flatter it..By the way I am a man with a over 50 year old wife that looks in her late 30's. That has always made me proud I just need to tell her more.
She is 5'3 was 5'4 lol weights about 120 sexy as hell NEVER embarrassed me. I can take her anywhere and feel like the luckies man in the world ...She could wear a two piece bathing suit and look great but has to much class. Good luck .

From my experience in the past when I was much younger
and had a cute (if I do say so myself) figure, I spent a number
of years going to Christmas parties with my husband. I was
one, if not the youngest woman there. I always wore a new
dress each year, and always wanted my husband proud of
me. I never wanted to detract from him, or try to play down
the other women in the fold. I always dressed with what
flattered me, but I never flaunted anything. I wasn't going to
be the one the other wives talked about. I stuck with cocktail dresses that were easy on the eye, but not tight to attract
attention. I wore shorter heals, out of preference, or
occasionally dressy flats. I didn't want swollen feet by the
end of an evening. I don't recall what sort of coat or jacket
I wore. But I do remember a very pretty lavender crepe dress with a curled, kicked up hem, I wore with a fringed matching
crepe shawl. It had a round open neck with wide straps, instead of sleeves. I had the shawl draped and pinned when I arrived, on my shoulder, and later unpinned it for a more casual look. I wore simple pearl and rhinestone jewelry with small settings and yet very expensive looking. I had
all of the wives looking me over that night, as well as the men.
I didn't realize that lavender had suddenly become 'my color'.
The funny thing was, my hubby barely noticed me all evening.
He always has said, "You look very nice". And yet he hardly
said words to me at the party. He was too busy socializing
and rubbing elbows I guess. I just remember feeling I felt
so short and small that night. And I'm average at 5'4". Any-
way, I stuck to more conservative clothes after that. And the
atmosphere was so much better in the years following that
I managed to have a good time, without even 'trying' for once.

Me, I would wear something classy and have fun meeting new friends...Never can have to many girlfriends but under neath slutty as all hell . My uderwear always cost more then my evening dress..Most men like a wife at the christmas party someone to be proud of because she is smart , can get a long with the other wifes and husbands and a Vata Loca in the bedroom.......
Aslan said it .....there are ways of dressing attractively with class rather than for the men that other women will respect...
Iritadra said, "YOU DO NOT want to aliente the other wives. The idea is to blend in......GOOD advice I hope you take it.....

Personally I would wear the little black number. This is always a winner. Just because all of the wifes are a lot older than you, shouldnt make you feel you need to dress down. If youve got it flaunt it (while you still can). Have a great time.

Wear what you want to wear. I would not care that you were younger and better looking. I might look at you and think, "boy, I could have given her a run for the money a few years ago."
We all get old. Hopefully you too will live that long.
Have a good time at the do.

Wear your dressed down look, but freshen it up with a bright and beautiful silk scarf or some other bright accessories.
You DO NOT WANT to alienate the other wives. The idea is to blend in, in order to help your husband to be accepted as "one of the pack".
Save the flattering little black number for New Year's Eve.

i would wear what colours suit you
not too revealing or too tight (you don't want to get cold when going outside or be restricted in what you eat do you?)
there are ways of dressing attractively with class rather than 'for the men' that other women will respect
i have been to my hubby's Christmas do also and found that dark colours with a splash of bright often goes down well with a christmasy feel to it

wear something that you will feel comfortable in for the 'do', so I think if you wear the little black number make sure your high heels are not too high! the long skirt and top would make you look a bit dowdy!

Wear what your comfortable in Dear, keeping in mind what the occasion calls for. If this has to do with your husbands career I would recommend erring on the side of caution, it is your desire to support him right? Other wise he will be known as "Bob, the one with the hot wife"... savvy?
