I am in 6th grade, 13 years old, I just moved which meant different schools/district.
My old school was my dream. But I had to move for a personal reason.
I go to this school and the learning and social finance is HORRIBLE.
Social Finance: The kids didn't have enough money to pay for a cheap school trip so we don't get to go on the field trips that are important prior to fifth grade level.
Learning: The teachers here are good, but they have NO idea what is to be taught in the grade level.
EXTRA: There are NO fences to block off any strangers and kids are scolded when they wear blue or red. (REAL gansters are nearby and walk around the school.)
Any stranger/gunman/ganster/etc can come and attack.

For seventh grade, I am going to a very good academy, and If i don't learn the things in 5th grade, I will be the total dunce.
---
I feel EXTREMELY unsecure & I am NOT learning anything.
I really want to be sucessful one day..

I hope that security is better than you pictured it.

You write very well for a sixth grader.

You should have textbooks. Try to read them by yourself. Perhaps you parents can hire a tutor for you so that you will not fall behind.

Go on the field trips yourself. If you know what places you're supposed to visit, go with your parents on the weekend. You can get a tour guide if you want to. You'll probably learn more if you can ask questions. Alternatively, get everyone in on some fundraising.

Most districts have different specific expectations for each grade level. They may or may not compare to what your district's expectations are. (To give you an idea, some districts teach during middle school novels that others teach during high school, and some never teach them at all.) Figure out what you will be expected to know before 7th grade. Take the list in to your principal's office, or the superintendent, and go over the topics. Find out which ones are included and which ones are not. Mention your concerns about safety while you're at it. (Keep in mind that a determined assailant will not be kept out by fences.)

You're going to need to take some initiative here. A school generally prepares students for the following levels in the same district. You can't expect that a school will change its expectations and curriculum so that it prepares a small number of students for an academy while neglecting the majority of its students for continuing middle/jr. high grades in the district. You might need to hire a tutor for some things.

YOU don't do anything about the larger problems, that is COMPLETELY out of your reach. What YOU do is to focus on your own studies, read ahead of and beyond what they're teaching at the school. Avoid situations that are potentially dangerous, and study like you never have before. The lack of field-trips won't kill you, you can have your folks go to some places of academic interest with you and you'll have more time to see and learn about what you're seeing in any case. Whatever the situation, noone here can fix it for you, nor can you fix it yourself, this is one of those cases where you just have to deal with it. Life is full of them.

Ask your parents if theres anyway you can go to somewhere better. If not, try talking to your teachers or principal, write a petition, or start collecting money with others to make something happen (like getting fences) by doing car washes or what not, make a difference, stand up! Good luck!
