Why do you think Holden enjoys things that stay the same? How do museums contrast with his own life? His own life seems quite unstable. Is this related to his perception of museums?

Isn't it true that while things in a museum stay the same... the mummies, the Indians, the dinosaur skeleton... as we grow older they all seem to shrink in size? Does that lessen our regard for those things?
