I win at the fair usually every year for my crafts.
I remember winning Math, Music and French awards in school.

I won a national recipe contest for bread...
I have won blue ribbons at our Fair for:
Breads
Cakes
Cookies
Candy
Crochet
Felting
Latch Hooking Rugs
and
Other crafts....
I won awards in school for English, History and Phys. Ed....
I won the poetry contest in college one year....
and
a Halloween decorating contest with my kids....
The costumes I make the boys have won contest also....
Do I sound pompous or what?!

Usually just door prizes. I have so many doors now, I don't know what to do with them! I did win a $25 savings bond one time at our annual credit union picnic. I never was a big winner of prizes.

twice, i won a stone necklace...
it was when i used to live on base (armed forces) it was a raffle...my mom and i got a ticket...and i won the necklace.
the second time, many years later, there was a similar raffle (at a different base) my mom and i got tickets, and once again, i won the necklace.
it was so weird how i won both time, so many years apart, the same exact necklace (except the first stone was white, the second was pink)

Yup, speed skating( on roller skates ) at our old local skating rink when i was a teenager, i won a radio headphone set, then i gave it away to some guy lol :)
