If it is God-ordained, yes.
If it is not, then there may be a meeting and a merger, but the relationship will not have as solid a foundation as could be.
To have it God-ordained, both parties must place God as #1 in the relationship, then themselves. By God being the director, pilot, mentor...then the couple will be better at interacting between themselves, understand the roles more clearly, have common spiritual goals, and face lifes ups & downs stronger.

No; It's a "nice" premise.......but is there really such a thing as "meant to be"?
Real relationships are about hard work and commitment to the same idea, and ideals.
It's about hard work and sacrifice.
I don't believe things just fall into place randomly, although they will begin to fall into place with these above mentioned components put into action.

I somewhat believe in fate and destiny but at the same time I believe sometimes we have control enough to make something happen. Anything and everything is within our reach if we just want it bad enough..There is nothing as strong as the human spirit.

No. But getting that relationship now, doesn't mean you'll stay together either. It does take work to make relationships work. And if you're in an ailing relationship, the patient to be treated is always yourself.

Isn't this the same as asking whether everything is preordained? No, some people make lousy choices and ruin things that could have been good.

I do not believe in predestination or fate, especially in relationships.
As many other posters have said, relationships are hard work. Screw up bad enough and you can ruin anything, all too easily.

No. There is no "meant to be" without work. If you leave everything to fate, only you are responsible for giving up control of your life.

Yes, very much so. I believe fate has a plan for everyone. Everything happens for a reason, and sometimes you don't see it right away, but eventually you will.
I know I did, and now I'm very lucky because it led me to my love.

Nope. Sorry, anything worth having is worth working and fighting for. Relationships are not easy. If you do not work at the realtionship, someone else will steal your girl and marry her. You will be left high and dry.
