Substitute the variables!!!

336/48 = 48t/48
t = 7

d= 336 and r=48 d=rt fill in the letters.
336=48t
now you have to divide 336 by 48, and you will get what t is!

Fill in the parts that you have

336 = 48t

Divide by 48 to get t alone

336/48 = t
7 = t

there is your answer

whenever you are given the formula and it has some of the values for the variables plug them in and then solve for the missing one

This looks like the formula for
distance = rate * time

not knowing the units for D and R make the problem confusing, but just plug the numbers into the formula

distance = rate * time
336 = 48t
t = 7
.

d = rt
336 = (48)(t)
7 = t

all you have to do is to plug in the d and r to find t

d = rt

d/r = t

336/48 = 7 which is t.
