To comply with rules, my question is this: Who was the best Chicago Blackhawks captain?

Snoop seems to have dipped below the minimum answer level. He's an honorary TC because Snoop still asks the best questions. I think he's so busy thinking up questons he misses out on answering.

When Pat Stapleton, the best Blackhawk captain, had his back turned, I ripped off Snoop's badge and sold it to PuckDat.

It wasn't me...although I would have been had the honour been bestowed upon my hefty (at the time) shoulders.
Johnny Gottselig was a great captain...led them to the cup. He's only European born captain in NHL history to lead his team to Stanley..........even if the was 14-25-9
Charlie Gardiner needs recognition as he's the only goaltender in NHL history to lead his team to cupdom.
Then there's Eddie Litzenberger who led the team to Stanley's graces in 1961.
Daryl Sutter was the best of the post Mikita captains.
Overall, I think PuckDat got it right. Not only was Pierre a great leader, he was also a three-time Norris winner as captain, owned a couple of Timmy's franchises in Milton and Georgetown. Ontario in the 70s and 80s, and he's a friend.

I can't make any sense of how these badges are handled. I've always had a baseball one, but suddenly football showed up today, too. No idea why, since I rarely get the best answer there.
And the Blackhawks' current captain is Ty Arbour.

yahoo goofed up and gave it away ... think they need to survey us reg on it and let us have some sort of input cause he does ask the best questions around here, that is i mean in the form of reg questions to promote thought and help us underlings learn new things.
