The Nobel Peace Prize should be awarded "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses."

Wel, that's the intent of the award, Jimmy Carter did try to intervene in disputes in several elections. Unfortunately,
Mr. Carter is gradually loosing respect at home and abroad with idiotic comments. His Habitat for Humanity was a great idea and helped lots of people. His bi-partisan antics lost him lots of respect.

Al Gore won as a "Member of a panel on international climate change" My God! The average temperature has changed + of - 3 degrees in the past 500 yrs!!! No wonder It's so hot here in South Texas!! Didn't Michael Moore direct his documentary? Maybe not.

"Yassar, thats my baby, nosir, i don't mean...." Oh, sorry, I mean, Yassar Arafat won the Nobel prize along with Shimon Perez adn Yitzahk Rabin for their "attempts" in the early 90's to solve the Palestinian problem.

These examples, we look at are at the very least "attempts" at making the world a safer and better place.

Unfortunately being bossom buddies with idiots, or becoming senile does not disqualify anyone.

He has a danged good record of brokering peace agreements. Perhaps the Neocons in our present administration could learn something from him.

The great thing about talking with these folks is that it is a hell of a lot more attractive than sending in troops. Ya never know maybe peace will break out.!
