I only leak in the morning when I wake up engorged.
How old is your baby?
I did leak more in the beginning .. but my son is now 4 months old and I haven't leaked (throughout the day) since he was 2 weeks.

YEAH! Good job for you! Congrats on the baby and keep up with the nursing, you will never regret it. I am nursing #3 baby... leaking usually slows down as the baby gets older, b/c your body is better at storing it, also in my experience later children, I leaked less with. But boy when it was time for them to eat, boom in like five minutes my boobs swell up like balloons and are sore. I don't wear nursing pads very often, unless I known it's going to be a long day with limited expressing or nursing, and we are out and about.

I had to until my son was around 7 months old. I leaked all the time. I still leak with let down if i dont push on my other nipple. He's 10 months now and only nurses two to three times a day, so I dont have to wear anything anymore.

Its normal. It might get better as you go along.

I wore nursing pads until my daughter was 4 months old and my milk supply finally established itself to the point where I no longer wore them. I only leaked through once since then and that was in the middle of the night... no big deal. You'll know when you no longer need them. You'll change several dry ones and then decide not to wear them.

I am tandem nursing my 19 month old and my 8 day old. I leak ALL OVER the palce. But I have over-active letdown and until I get it back under control from the latest baby I will haev to wear pads even to bed. Actually to bed I wrap a receiving blanket around my breasts to keep from havign to change my bed sheets every morning.

I breastfeed. and I do not wear nursing pads unless we are going to be away from the house for a long period of time or unless I am going to be away from my son for more then 3 hours. If I go more then 4 hours with out nursing, I still get engorged and have to pump or breastfeed. Each person is different though.

I wore breast pads for the first few months. Then after that I would simply apply pressure to my breasts and nipples with my hand when I felt a slight letdown and that would stop any leaking.
