Is the Primer Pump in the Tank Working? Check for Fuel "At the Injector Lines!" Does the Engine Crank? Did The Engine Stall and Why? Has it been more then 10 Months since the Fuel Filter Was Replaced? When you Trun the Key to ON does the Glow Plug Circuit Activate? Do you have Fuel Pressure at the Fuel (Pick-up) Pump on the Engine?

Really need More Info. to Diagnose the Problem.

If you can find an 03 with a 7.3L that be the year to get. There were too many made in 03 with the 7.3L, so if you can find a 02 if your going automatic it had better transmission parts in it. The weakest link in the 7.3L if automatic is the tranny. So plan on adding a 6.0L transcooler it bolts right up and is the best thing to do for that shoe box of a stock tranny cooler that came on the truck Keep it stock and live to see 500 K. Im half way there !

make sure the fuel pump is running under the driverside door inside the frame rail, turn key on a look under an see if you hear it runnning if not that would be the problem, since you have no fuel comin out of the valve up by the filter good luck

You never gave the year of the truck. There are two versions of the 7.3L. One is mechanical meaning the lift pump runs off the cam gear. The injector pump is a rotary piston type.
The other is the 7.3L Power Stroke which is electronic injectors & fuel pumps are in the tank(s). Please give more information.

Could be... Bad fuel pump, clogged filter or no fuel (bad sending unit giving false indication) or perhaps not on this case, vapor lock and need to be purged out.
