Got a favorite song or album of theirs You'd like to talk about?

Bonus Trivia: What hawkwind bassist went on to form one of the most repected and heavy Metal Bands ever?
Name the Bassist and The Band

"Space Ritual"..4 sides to change..hard back in those days.."Hall Of The Mountain Grill" we didn't mind.."In Search of Space" of course..Lemmy from "The Rocking Vicars" and Hendrix roadie/gofer to Hawkwind and then to Motorhead..funny critter..says his doctor shouldn't ever change his preferred diet..the change in blood chemistry would possibly kill him...

Bonus: Lemmy (insert classic Carlos Mencia quote here) with Motörhead.

I'm not really that much of a Hawkwind fan, I guess I never really got into them but Motörhead?? There's a reason why their pits are called some of the greatest and hardest-hitting of all time.

PS: To get the "ö" symbol on your computer make sure that Num Lock is on on your keyboard and press and hold the Alt key while pressing on your number pad to the right on most keyboards 1, then 4, and then 8. ööö. The number sequence for the "ü" as in Mötley Crüe is 1-2-9 on most computers.

No, but after listening to Yes's Fragile, I want to get more into the progressive rock and space rock stuff. I'll need recommendations definitely.

But I can answer the trivia question. It was Lemmy, and the band was Motorhead, a pre-thrash metal sort of band.

EDIT: Yeah, Fragile is a personal favorite.

The only song I know and like is 'Silver Machine', the vocalist* of which leads nicely to the trivia :~

Basist Lemmy {Lemmy Kilmister} went on to form Motorhead. And before joining Hawkwind, he was a roadie for Jimi Hendrix.

* The band didn't like the original live vocal, everyone else tried it but it didn't sound right, so they decided to let the basist have a go!

looks like you deleted my Beatles answers. oh well. at any rate, I just figured that I'd chime in and mention that while I'm not a Hawkwind fan, I am a Michael Moorcock & the Deep Fix afficianado. love Simon House's playing in general, too.

Bonus Trivia answer: Ian Fraser Kilmister, better known as Lemmy. he went on to form Motorhead, of course.

hope ya keep this answer...
