I suggest you download Ad-Aware SE and Spybot S&D (they’re free), install them, update them and run them. If either one doesn’t seem to be able to get rid of everything it reports finding, try running it again, this time in Safe Mode. Safe Mode often prevents the malware from running and protecting itself.

Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there.

To get into Safe Mode:

1. Log out and reboot your machine.
2. When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.
3. Select Safe Mode from the resulting menu.
4. The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different. You won't be able to see the Internet, for instance. Log in as Administrator. Administrator often has no password.
5. When you're finished, log out and reboot back into normal mode.

Update and run them regularly.

Good luck.

This is a spyware/malware type of infection, Norton probably doesn't recognize. Try SuperAntispyware Free Edition and Spyware Doctor Starter Edition, both are completely free and available @ http://www.download.com. Install, update, take your pc off of the internet, then run full scans with each program and this should cure your malware problem. Good Luck!

SpyDefender Pro is a new fake spyware cleaner and remover. It gives exaggarated reports claiming you to purchase full version of itself. In real SpyDefenderPro have no antispyware engine, it just generate names of popular spyware, trojans, cookies and show you as detection reports. SpyDefenderPro may be installed manually or using trojan horses (downloader trojans). It is impossible to remove this program with Add\Remove console (Control Panel). After restart it will recreate and update itself. SpyDefenderPro can seriously slow your computer and cause critical system errors.

Hi. Your Registry has probably been modified. There are free programs out there (like WindowsCare http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html ) but you may need a heavier duty registry cleaner ( http://www.registrycleanerscomparisons.com/ ). Many to choose from.
