Many Muslims are called Mohammid so cannot see the difference here.This is a Political row and an attempt by a thirld world country to flex its muscles.It is most unlikley the woman will receive a punishement for her actions,but if she does then all hell should break loose here in England.

Now now lets leave the dogs out of this. Buy a pig and name him that. You will get a better effect. The sad thing here is she had no idea about this taboo not being muslim. The worst part is it is a school for children of the well to do. The kids came up with the names and did the voting and they, being muslim, should have known better and said something. This lady is completely innocent and I am sure she will be judged as such. It does make me sooooo happy I was born and raised in the good old USA!

To the person who said "If you don't like the laws, don't live in the country" I would like to say that the same applies here in the UK. If you don't like it, leave.
This business in the Sudan is ridiculous, they didn't give Cassius Clay 40 lashes when he changed his name to Mohamed Ali, and a teddy bear is hardly a heavy weight boxer.
Half of all Muslims go by the name so wtf is it all about.

You do that. Nothing will happen, beyond a few disapproving voices. That is because we live in a free country, contray to what anti-PC thickies think.
The Muslim Council of Britain have said that what is happening to this woman is wrong- she did nothing wrong and should not be punished.

I dont even belive in a religion.. i still appreciate people who do though... however not to the degree where she is going to get 40lashes or sent to jail for calling a TEDDY BAIR 'Mohammed'.... thats taking religion TOO FAR!

You should love and cherish your four-legged companion therefore don't call him/her some disgusting name like that! Especially for what that name stands for.
I think that the politicians (e.g. Gordon Brown) should do something about this poor teacher.
