Im doing my homework, and I dont get this.

' The word Canyon comes from the spanish word Canon (with the squiguly lione and the ' ) Meaning "tubes" Tell how the word canyon is related to this origin.

Please. help. I dont get this. Find a website for me that is specificuly for this kinda thing orgin. And tell me how is this related?~?!

Canyon is actually one of the meanings of Spanish word canon which means tube.
Think in terms of a Canyon being a tube with the top cut off. When inside a deep narrow canyon you get the feeling you are in a tube.
That's about the best way I can describe it.
