10 Points to the person who gets rid of this thing.
Does anyone know what I can use to get rid of the virus that I have. I have tried Avast, which I currently have but has locked majority of my files down. I have this other one aswell it is really good but still does not get rid of the virus, it keeps on coming back after I re-boot the pc.
I cannot get into my Control Panel its locked up and says I need to contact administrator.
Please help with this, its stressing me out.

I have a McAfee license and LogMeIn, so I can go into your computer and personally remove the virus/spyware or whatever you have for free. Send me a mail to hvalle98@yahoo.com for more info

No antivirus or antispyware protection is perfect but a good mixture of the two will help you clean your system and indeed keep it clean.

SuperAntiSpyware will remove the majority of difficult Trojans not just the easy ones.

If you are infected it is recommended that you load the application in normal mode but run it in Safe Mode. Safe Mode can be started by continually pressing F8 during the boot sequence.

If you are badly infected you might need to run SuperAntiSpyware more than once to give you a totally clean system. If the only infections now being shown are in System Restore, once you are completely satisfied that you can boot ok, you can either delete the infected restore points manually, or temporarily turn off System Restore.

In addition I suggest you download & run Avira. Unlike a lot of the free antivirus applications this will give you real time protection and is very quick to load at boot up.

Assuming you have some real awkward infections and the two above failed to totally clean your system I suggest you download a Smitfraud removal program from:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop_software/desktop_security/smitfraudfix.cfm

Again run in Safe Mode.

Good luck & safe surfing.

And if all the above fails you might to run a complete reformat of your hard drive and a restore using the disc which came with your computer not on line in fact disconnect on line before starting reformating.
That is the worst case sceniro if all else fails because you will lose a lot of data if you are the type (99% of us are) that doesn't back everything up on zip card or disc.

Hi there.

Your antivirus program should be able to delete the virus in safe mode.
Follow the instructions here on how to boot your PC into safe mode, then do a FULL scan and remove the virus.

use Avast! first you have to boot into safe mode when the computer starts, by pressing f8. After you've done that then use Avast! to clean out the rest.

Try avg free edition.
http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10760089.html?part=dl-AVGAntiVir&subj=dl&tag=button

That link comes from the avg website, by the way.

Or if you feel more comfortable,

Which will lead you there.

It pulled out my trojan in about 20 minutes.
