Finding enough hours in the day (since there are only 24)- to raise 3 kids, go to school full time, have a relationship with my boyfriend, help those who need it, meet all my duties, deadlines, obligations and still have time to eat, sleep, exercise, do some housework- and (if I'm lucky) have a moment to myself (rare occurrence.). Oh- and trying to maintain a positive, constructive, adaptive outlook/attitude at the same time...tricky! I struggle to control my "perfectionistic" tendency- I want everything done right, and done thoroughly. I'm just starting to understand that there are some things not worth expending large amounts of energy and worry about...and learning to prioritize, placing the most important tasks at the top of the list, and letting lesser ones slide...and knowing it's really o.k. I don't often ask for help (actually I tend not to ever ask for help when I need it)...trying to work on that. And I have trouble saying "no" to almost any request someone else might make of me, and so I guess I'm struggling to learn my limitations, and respect my own needs as much as I would anyone else's.

Getting motivated. I want to spend more time being physically active but when I have time off I am so exhausted I tend to veg in front of the computer. I try to spend at least 4 hours a day or more at the hospital and when that is impossible I feel guilty.

I struggle every day with trying to maintain a positive attitude. I tend to drift toward cynicism. It is such an easy place to occupy. But ultimately, it doesn't do me or the rest of the world any good. So, I try to put more positive energy into the world than negative. It's a struggle.

Keeping my blood pressure down. Not eating so much, getting all my chores done, getting up in the morning at 5:30 am., trying to keep my eyes open for my favorite late night TV shows, not forgetting to put gas in the car, ignoring rude coworkers, waiting for payday to arrive, paying bills on time, trying to figure out what to eat for dinner on a low sodium diet and it goes on and on. I call it LIFE.

1.Finding the time and energy to exercise.
2. Listening to my body when I am full and not eating that extra bit that will make me regret it when I step on the scale the next day.
3.Controlling my worry. I can be a bit ruminative at times and I am sometimes my own worst enemy.

Woo. Thank goodness I can just say 'ditto on the Violinist's answer!'

Otherwise I would have to put down all the wars I have to fight with myself all day long, and I'm way too tired for that right now.

Getting up when the alarm goes off.
Making it all the way through my To Do list.
Reading all the papers I have.
Doing work when I get home instead of watching TV.
Going to bed early enough so that I can wake up when the alarm goes off.

Saving money, I always find a reason to spend my money.
Wanting so much but not earning enough $ to buy it all.
Meeting women that I can feel passion about in an emotional sense and not just in a physical sense. A little more love and not just lust.
