That brat is none other than our resident troll with a different nic and avatar...and I would never have had to deal with this from my kids. They were taught to be respectful and still are as are their children. Probably they wouldn't even be on Y!Answers as they are pursuing other venues of learning. lol

Well now a days people throw around the word ***** like the word crap. It loses all its meaning, so when I call someone a ***** it's not as bad as it may sound, plus having her cell phone taken away may not sound that bad, but if she's like me, taking her cellphone away is worse than getting grounded for life and all that stuff you were saying. So yeah, I'd probably talk to her and find out what's up, since she could be like stressed out or be having major problems. Also if I had a thirteen year old daughter I'd be kind of worried becuse that would mean I'd have to have had her when I was like four months old. Lol.

My daughter and son were brought up to have manners, they were respectful to older people, and that could be anyone over 20. (when they were very young children)

They would stand up and give their seat to an older person and any woman who came into the room if there was nowhere else to sit, like in the doctors waiting room.

They said yes please and no thank you to waitresses and clerks and anyone else.

They also spent one day every week helping the seniors in our neighbourhood, weeding, raking leaves etc when they were living at home.

They would NEVER have been so rude. People used to compliment all the time on how well mannered my children were, and well spoken.

My Grandson has the same manners and is respectful of other people. So my children are following in my foot steps when it comes to child rearing.

I am only second generation Canadian so I guess the strict European up bringing is being passed down.

My answer is the same as some of the others....I have two sons and two daughters, also 13 grandchildren and I can't even imagine any of them to be disrespectful. Ever! They weren't raised that way and I am so proud of all of them that I sometimes think my heart will burst.

Never would have happened. My kids received excellent parenting.

When I see the brat in her many life forms....I simply flag her...if enough people flag her (2 or 3, I think), her posts will be removed.

I do this for any disrespectful jerk on any of these forums......

I missed the question. I assume Tara J has been her usual scintillating self again?!

May I ask though...she is always claiming that her mother is a level 7 contributor on Answers. Would that happen to be you?

I commiserate with your dilemma.

To answer your question, my daughters were brought up with respect for their elders, just as I was, although they kowtow to no one. And just remember that a child is never too old to receive a stern lecture from her parent!

Phew!!! my children would never dare to be that disrespectful, they had a better upbringing than that, and to be honest because I have never had to deal with anyone like her I'm not sure how I would handle it, apart from getting a real piece of my mind

Our daughter would never be disrespectful to anyone! She hates it when her friends are disrespectful and pulls them up on it!

I think a bar of Zest rubbed along the molars might shut her up.

My daughter would only call "me and her grandmother' that and only in fun and we would laugh. She also has been brought up with manners and would not disrespect anyone intentionally.
