I have found that the best deals are found on the hotel websites themselves. Once you decide where you want to stay, book when you see an acceptable price and then watch the website every couple of days and call and ask for the lower rate if you see it. I do this at the Tropicana and I stay on the strip for around $40 a night in upgraded rooms.
If you are looking for a package deal, check out www.usairwaysvacations.com
They usually have great deals. Be sure to check the lowest price option.

Chances are, you will get a better deal if you call the 800 numbers for the hotel chains or call the hotel directly. When you use websites like Expedia, they say they are giving you such a good deal, but in my experience they are not. These websites have special rates with the hotels. What that means is if you book your room for $100 with Expedia, the hotel will only get like $40 of that and Expedia will keep the rest. Chances are you can call the hotel directly and talk them down in price some, depending on the city, hotel, and what events are going on at the time of your visit. On top of that, I've also seen way too many mess ups with the reservations taken from these other websites. The hotel does not have to fix these mistakes. You have to take your complaints to the website that you made the reservation with. When you're trying to check into the hotel at midnight after a long drive or flight, that's not something that is easy to do! I'd suggest that you still go to these websites and see what they are offering. But also call the hotels directly to see what rate they can offer you.

It's true most of the hotel sites do have similar prices, however, some of the difference lies in fees that they may charge on top of the rates. Sometimes you can get better deals at the hotels themselves, but not all the time,
The very best way to get the best deals is to book airfare and hotel together and that at the last minute! From 3 hours to 2 weeks ahead, if you are flexible and can take advantage of this, you will save up to 70% on your trip.
A good place to look is http://www.lasvegas-wow.com/last_minute_vacation_deals.htm - they do not charge any additional booking fees.
