Everyone has their strengths. I am a math teacher but do not expect all of my students to be math experts. My advice, is do all of the homework, try every problem, check the answers, make corrections and to study for a test, REDO the problems that you miss. You can do it, but don't expect A's! Your strengths are in other areas, embrace that!

What math class are you in? If I were you, I would talk to your teacher, tell him/her that you are struggling, and try to set up tutoring for once or twice a week. Also, try to do your homework every night with a friend who is a good math student. If you get stuck on a problem, he/she can help. When it comes time for the test, review all the hard problems from your homework, and try to do some review problems from the textbook. Don't give up! I'm sure you'll be fine.

p.s. If your teacher doesn't have time to tutor you, ask your parents to pay for an outside tutor to come to your house once or twice a week. There are lots of tutoring services out there. If you can't afford it, try to find a junior or senior in high school who will tutor you for free -- tell them it will look good on their college applications!

Look for a tutor. Some people just aren't good at math. Your strengths are English and cooking. Don't give up, get help.

I was not good at math either but I am an Instructional Assistant at a high school now. I am good at History and Geography though. And reading and writing.
