I found 3 dollars in the ladies room and thought about what I should do with it. First I thought, just leave it there, then I figured, if I leave it there, someone else will take it. So I took it, put it in my purse, walked to security and handed it in to them and told them that someone left 3 dollars in the public restroom. The security guard told me, just keep it, it's just 3 bucks, and I said, no I can't because it's not mine and it's not right, and he was like, you're just giivng us more paper work to do LOL!

No, the security guard was not a jerk, he was really nice, and as I was leaving, he said, you're a really honest person, you should thank your parents for raising you this way lol. Kinda made me smile.

LOL, I love security guards with a sense of humor.
I probably would've just taken it as it's just 3 bucks and there's a 99% chance that no one is gonna come looking for it.

Well, it's nice to know that there are people with good morals. Give it to someone who really needs the 3 dollars. May not be any value to most people, but to some who are unfortunate may use it.

I would have doen the same thing you did except that when the security guard told me to keep it I would have shrugged my shoulders while thinking to myself I guess this is my lucky day and kept it.

I always leave money because I don't want to take the responsibility. You did the right thing hand to someone who could give it back to the person who lost it.

nah not at all you could have told the guard that a job isnt finished till the paperwork is done kinda like going to the bathroom

I would have just kept it!!! I once found $200 dollars in the bathroom at the mall, lets just say I went home with a couple of new outfits!!!!!! (finders-keepers)

i would have done what you did..
i found a twenty dollar bill in my history class underneath an empty desk.. i gave it to the teacher. though all the other students thought i did a stupid thing.lol

I would've asked around to the people that I know if they lost it, and if not, I would've kept it... money is finders keepers... the only one it belongs to is the federal government.
