Considering that the rate of suicides peak at this time of year, I don't think it is.

Not unless you own Macy's, Kohl's, or Best Buy. Christmas is a marketing ploy and a pagan holiday anyway, so don't buy into the hype. "The interchange of presents between friends is alike characteristic of Christmas and the Saturnalia, and may have been adopted by Christians from the pagans, as the admonition of Tertullian plainly shows." Emphasis added. -Bibliotheca Sacra (vol 12 pp 153-155)
People are dying in the endless war, the dollar is shrinking, job loss is hurting many, so just be thankful for what you do have..

I --LOATHE-- christmas. It's such a horrible, terrible holiday. It turns people into foul, dark beings, snarling and bickering over the stupidest things.
Bah! I hate christmas. I appreciate and enjoy the time I get to spend with my family, but in general, christmas blows.
