Sugar (sucrose) is a naturally produced carbohydrate made up of glucose covalently bonded to fructose. Glucose and fructose are made up of (CHOH )x units. Saccharine is a benzene compound, synthetic, made from phthalic anhydride, phthalamide, and other stuff.

Sugar is a natural ocurring compound while saccarine is a synthetic sweetener.

They are totally different molecules. Sucrose is a polyhydroxyaldehyde while saccarine is a sulphonic derivative called:
1,1-Dioxo-1,2-benzothiazol-3-one
