When you buy a box, it'll have directions in it. It's best to buy a small, cheap box your first time and follow the directions. It has pictures too!

Um...if you can't tell by the instructions that is a problem. Assuming you have not been sexually active (not knowing how old you are, but knowing you've had it only for 1 year) it's possible you aren't familiar enough with your body to know exactly where to put it. Let me see if I can explain it for you though. Because trust me..they are sooooo much better thann pads..at least in my opinion. (I suppose I need this practice because my daughter is due to have hers any time now)
There are 3 parts to a tampon. At least the Tampax ones I have in front of me. There is the soft cotton part that will stay inside of you while the string hangs out. This could, over a couple hours slip inside a bit more so make sure you have at least a few inches of it hanging out. The other two parts are a inner and outer tube. The bigger of the two is the part that has the cotton part inside and it is the end that goes in first. Try to place this in a few inches, and it will be mostly inside. Once you have done this, push the other end so that it goes farther inside the bigger tube which will push the cotton part farther in where it needs to be.
End result, you should NOT be able to feel it inside you at all. As long as you can see the string, you did just fine. And the more you do it, the more you will be familiar with it and find where is most comfortable for you.
IMPORTANT: Some people have lighter periods than others, and require more absorbancy than others. Make sure you have the right ones. Also make sure you don't leave them in too long. Change them every couple hours or what is recomended on the box. You can (or use to be able to) get some sort of sickness called Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) if you have it in too long, but I don't know how often that truly can happen. It also doesn't hurt to go to the bath room often to check because even tampons can leak.

okay. first tilt the tampon back towrds your back and the rite hole is the closest to your butt hole. tilt it downwards and insert it. but if its uncomfortable tilt it the rite way to where its not........ you know what heres something easier to understand:
Sit or stand in a comfortable position. Some women prefer to place one leg on the toilet seat or tub, while others prefer to squat down. After you find a position that is most comfortable for you, hold the tampon with the fingers that you write with. Hold the middle of the tampon, at the spot where the smaller, inner tube inserts into the larger, outer tube. Make sure the string is visible and pointing away from your body.
With your other hand, open the labia (the folds of skin around the vaginal opening) and position the tampon in the vaginal opening. (See picture 1 below).
Gently push the tampon into the opening, aiming for the small of your back. Stop when your fingers touch your body and the applicator, or outer tube, is completely inside the vagina. (See picture 2 below).
Once the applicator or outer tube is inside of you, use your index finger to push the inner tube (the tube where the removal string is visible) through the outer tube. This pushes the tampon into the vagina.
Once the inner tube is all the way in, use your thumb and middle finger to remove the applicator or outer tube. (See picture 3 below). Make sure that the string hangs outside of the vaginal opening. Later, when you are ready to remove the tampon, hold the string and gently pull it downward until the entire tampon is out.
If the tampon is inserted correctly, you should not feel it. If you feel uncomfortable in any way, you may have inserted the tampon incorrectly or the tampon may not be placed far enough into the vagina. If this happens, just remove the tampon and start again with a new tampon. Remember that practice makes perfect. If you don't get it on the first try, your second try will most likely be successful. Instead of getting frustrated and giving up, relax and try again!
What if I still don't succeed?
If you don't succeed after several times, see your health care provider. It may be that you were born with a very small opening in your hymen and you can't insert tampons. This is true in only about 2% of teens, but it could be a problem.
A mirror is often helpful so that you can see where your vaginal opening is.
alrite there it is..

Read the instructions in the box. Or read this:

After you find a position that is most comfortable for you, hold the tampon with the fingers that you write with. Hold the middle of the tampon, at the spot where the smaller, inner tube inserts into the larger, outer tube. Make sure the string is visible and pointing away from your body.
2. With your other hand, open the labia (the folds of skin around the vaginal opening) and position the tampon in the vaginal opening. (See picture 1 below).
3. Gently push the tampon into the opening, aiming for the small of your back. Stop when your fingers touch your body and the applicator, or outer tube, is completely inside the vagina. (See picture 2 below).
4. Once the applicator or outer tube is inside of you, use your index finger to push the inner tube (the tube where the removal string is visible) through the outer tube. This pushes the tampon into the vagina.
Make sure not to leave it in too long! 8 hours max.

Every box of tampons has instructions with pictures. You hold the "gripper" between your thumb and middle finger and insert the end with the cotton part all the way until your fingers on the grip are touching the skin right "outside". Then you put your index finger on the end with the string and push it while keeping your thumb and middle finger closed on the "grippers". When both parts of the applicator or together, it should be in. If it hurts, its not in far enough. Take it out and try again. Noone gets it the first try. Its a process of trial and error. When you can't really feel it there, you have done it!

You look at a diagram of the female anatomy on the web and then take a hand mirror and look at YOUR female anatomy and learn where each part is. Next take the tampon and insert the applicator into your VAGINA but angle it towards the small of your back. One you have inserted it to where the entire top portion is in your vagina then push the bottom plunger part into the top part to launch the tampon. If you feel any pain then you don't have it angled right. Once it is in you won't really feel it at all. If you really feel it then you didn't do it right. Once you get the hang of it you will be going "why did I wait so long to try these"?

You just insert it into the vagina, then pull out the plastic or cardboard covering (it's like a tube if there is one). The tampon will remain inside.
To remove it, pull at the string. In the beginning, it is scary, you might think you are hurting yourself. But gradually you will get the hang of it and get comfortable.
Check the packet for instructions because I don't know if your tampon needs other precautions.
This is a very delicate matter, You should definitely check the instructions on the box. They are the best in this case.

You get some that come with a cardboard tube, some with a plastic tube and some without, those with a tube you insert into your vagina then push, the tampon comes out and the cardeborad tube you pull out, you must change it every 4 to 8 times a day, you pull the string and it comes out then insert another, the ones without a tube you just take off the plastic covering and insert. Never insert witout removing the last one.

you want to take your left hand and spread apart your vagina
you want to make sure that they plastic part or the cardboard is up the hole before you even start pushing the smaller tube to insert the tampon. then push the tube so the tampon is in your body. you should feel something go in. it does not hurt at all. i just used one for the first time yesterday and was really nerves but you do not want to be nerves because it will tighten up the muscles and will make it harder.
good luck

Easy, just follow the instruction on the package. First, you'll need take deep breath first for few second and let it out for few second then just try to relax, before you start slowly put your tampon in your body. Just take a time and don't shove in. Read the instruction, how put your tampon in. OK, just take time. Wishing you good luck...
