The Star Chamber touches on it. It is an 80's flick starring Micheal Douglas. It is about a group of judges who are tired of having to let criminals go because of technicalities. They get together privately and hold their own little private trial and if they decide the person is guilty, they hire a hitman to take him out.

There are two illegal search and siezure moments in the film that I can remember. One is at the beginning where the police improperly search a trash can belonging to a defendent. They find the evidence they need but it gets tossed out in court. That results in the case being tossed out because that evidence was just about all the DA had.

The other one is more at the heart of the story. Two men are pulled over for unpaid tickets. The police search the vehicle and find evidence of them murdering a child. The tickets had been paid to begin with but because of a snafu in the system they were incorrectly listed as unpaid. The only reason why the police decided to pull the guys over was because of these unpaid tickets. There was no other reason why. The judge decided that it was a violation and the evidence had to be thrown out.

Another movie that has a bit of this is JFK. There is a scene where vital evidence is tossed out of the trial because the defendant did not have a lawyer present at questioning. The vital piece of evidence was admission of having an alias during the booking procedure. The prosecution's case depended on them being able to prove that the person used that alias.

I think a good show would be Liar Liar. It uses Jim Carey as a lawyer.
