A victim who became a survivor
Victims tend to accept their fate and chose not to change it. Survivors fight. I did a little bit of both before I decided that being a victim was getting me no where.
I feel much stronger as a woman when I started to fight.

I think I've been a lot of things. When I was younger, I was a huge tomboy. I hated dresses, makeup, dolls, anything that was considered girly. By the time I hit high school though, I had lost some of that. I'm in college now, and I love dressing up and wear makeup regularly. Sometimes I'm a girly-girl, but I still have my tomboy tendencies. I love sports and would much rather play them with guys than girls, because I don't think girls take them as seriously as guys do in some cases.

I'd also like to think of myself as a strong role model. In high school I was a DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) role model, and got to go into elementary schools and talk to the kids. I have always gotten good grades, I have never drank, I don't cuss, and I am waiting until I'm married to have sex. I try to live my life so that people who look at me know that I am a Christian, and not a hypocritical one.

I don't think I am a victim. And I don't know that I would consider myself a survivor, because I know there are so many more people out there who have survived worse things than I have. I grew up with a disabled brother and a father who I have never gotten along with. I don't like the way he treats my mom or my brother, and I don't respect him. But I haven't been through the same things as friends of mine who have been molested or had parents pass away, so I don't want to belittle their hardships by putting myself in the same category.

An individual-a bit of everything. I'm a victim of many things, and like the other post I figured that wasn't working for me, so I became a survivor. I am a tom-boy because I like sports and never dress like a girl(wear sweat pants everyday), and a role model because I take my work in school seriously. Although I sometimes get discouraged, I stiffen it out, you know, become a survivor! And a lot people think its very good and cool that I'm taking on so much in school right now. (currently in 2 math and 2 science-2 11th grade classes and im in 10th grade).

I am a survivor because I have been at the very bottom a couple of times but I always manage to survive and pull myself back to the top.

definitely a survivor. im a survivor b/c no matter what roadblocks i had in my way, i still overcame them. Never let the negative hold me down, use that as my ammo to go and get harder....

i used to be a strong, competant, intelligent, creative human being.

Now i'm looking for a date i'm trying to be more submissive, admiring, stupid, and pretty, because men just don't like women to have any of the traits they respect in each other.

I would consider myself a tom-boy. Ugg how I hate shopping! And dresses and skirts... Blah!
