The sky is blue because of the reflection of water particles in the atmosphere. The color of these hydrogen and oxygen molecules often reflects a "sky blue" color.

It is the color of the spectrum that is reflected off of the oceans surface, and not absorbed by it, into the atmoshere and then reflected back as blue
