You really need to take it during your luteal phase and not wait til you get a pos. Starting it early will help prevent a miscarriage. I would recommend charting BBT and starting it on the third day after O, or the third high temp. And whatever you do, don't stop taking it until you are completely sure you aren't pg because stopping progesterone can cause a miscarriage.

Start the second you get a positive test. Don't STOP taking it until you are about 32 weeks pregnant. Also, remember that it can take a month of taking the progesterone before it starts to help.

If you are still having miscarriages have your doctor (or midwife) look into other possible causes (are you RH negative?, or could it be a clotting issue that aspirin therapy might help?)..

good luck!

I would not wait untill you get a BFP to start. Progesterone helps build a good home in your uterus. It helps with implantation and can lower your chances of a m/c. I suggest that you take it as soon as you think it might be okay.

I would do whatever you doctor suggest. I believe you are supposed to take it shortly after ovulation and continue until you either get your period or a BFN. The progesterone will keep you from having a m/c. I would call your doctor if you have any questions.

AF= Aunt Flo (your period)

I was perscribed by my doctor to take in CD17 and not stop till Af shows, I also was perscribed Estrogen that I take from Cd8-CD12 this is supposed to help the lining of my uterus thinken so there is enough for the egg to implant. You may want to talk to your doctor about adding estrogen.

AF = Aunt Flow

take the meds. This is important!! Your body doesn't make enough of this hormone, and it is responsible for helping you keep the baby and not miscarry. If you want the child, listen to your dr. and take the med.
