I have been told that spending time in a hot tub can kill a fetus, so I was wondering if the same was true for hot showers or baths? I am a fan of baths and cants stand anything but HOT showers, so this is bothering me since I am trying to get pregnant with my husband... Thanks

I like to take HOT showers as well, but for some reason if I am in there too long it makes me sick!

I'm not usually a fan of baths, but since I've gotten pregnant, I find hot baths relaxing. I don't know the risks, I will do some research and get back to you!
This site says to avoid them cause they cause overheating:

Read the following links; the last one might seem to contradict the others; I'm not saying it's right, I'm just showing both points-of-view. Regardless, it seems that avoiding hot tubs is good, and hot baths or showers are safer.

Of course, if you're purposely fabricating a story, in hopes that we will tell you hot tubs may prevent conception, and then you go and have unprotected sex in a hot tub believing that to be the case, don't come running to us if you wind-up pregnant!!!

It's rare, but the risk is in raising your body temperature above 102° Fahrenheit (38.9° Celsius). It can increases the risk for neural tube defects in the first trimester and dehydration later in the pregnancy. It takes about 10-20 minutes of sitting in a hot tub at around 104 degrees for your temp to rise to 102 degrees, so that is why they recommend not staying in longer than 20 minutes and perhaps thinking about a maximum of 10 minutes.

It usually effects you before the baby though. It can cause lower or raise your blood pressure and make you faint. Especially when you are pregnant and your blood flow is increased. Just follow common sense in the shower. If you feel light headed get some cool air on you.

a hot shower will not be a problem, I'm the same must have a very hot bath or shower, I had both during 3 pregnancys and never had a problem, had 3 healthy babies. I even tried a hot bath when my daughter was 2 weeks overdue, didn't help

Hot baths can harm the baby too. And I mean really hot baths. Hot showers should be fine as long as you aren't in there too long. But If you aren't pregnant this shouldn't be a worry. Its only after you are pregnant you need to worry.
