Remember, each baby is different. My son started sleeping through the night when he was 3 months old. However, he would wake after 5 hours to be fed and go back to sleep for another 5 hours. Most babies should be sleeping through the night (5 hours is considered "through the night" in infant standards) around 5 months. Just be patient. It takes time. One night you'll put him down to sleep and wake up 7 hours later in a panic and realize that he slept through the night. It will happen!!

My son is 4 months old and hes been sleeping though since he was about 2 months old - this is the exception though, im very lucky!! The average for kids to start sleeping though is about 6 months. With my son, ive always made sure he has a bottle about half an hour before going to bed for the night - i dont know if this is the trick, but it seems to help with him. Even if hes already drifting off to sleep, i will wake him up for that last bottle (usually around 7-715 then he goes to bed about 745). Hope this helps, but as i said, i think my son might be the exception and not the rule

All babies are different when it comes to when the sleep through the night. My daughter was sleeping through the night at 5 weeks old. A friend of mine has a son that will be 5 years old soon and he still doesn't sleep through the night!

Wishful thinking hun, my daughter is 7 months old and still wakes up 2-3 time a night, not for a feed but she wakes up. He will start sleeping through when he's good and ready, he's still just a lil fella, just be patient.

3 months and sleeping through the night...you're dreaming :) Each baby is different, but many don't sleep through the night until 6 months to a year! At 3 months, he still needs to feed at regular intervals. If you're ever concerned, you should talk to your doctor but this is completely normal. Take naps when you can because you've got a ways to go!

All night long at 12 weeks? ROFL That would be a miracle for many kids and far from the norm. Growth spurts also mean eating more and waking up more---so be warned :)

One of my kids didn't sleep all night long until he was 1.

My daughter has slept through the night since 2 months old with the odd night of waking a couple of times. I think that it depends on if they are being breast or bottle fed as well. My daughter is bottle fed and goes longer between feeds than what she did when I breast fed her.
