are people STILL making MONEY on EBAY????

Question

I would like to try it but I've never bought or sold anything from there! It sounds intimidating and tedious, but i do need some extra money. (I'm a teacher) Any suggestions or experiences?

I was a little intimidated to start selling too, but I had an old collection of movie memorabilia I no longer wanted; so I figured I'd give it a shot. I started by selling one 8x10 photograph and then sold the rest of the collection over a period of a few months. I grossed about $1,000, which is sure beats a dusty box of stuff I no longer wanted.

Ebay walks you though the process, and it's pretty easy. Your first few listings will take you awhile to post because you'll be unfamiliar with the process, but it goes faster as you get experience. One thing you should do before listing anything is search completed auctions for similar items so you'll have an idea of what your items are worth. You'll get more action if you don't list with a reserve and start with a low minimum bid. But in doing this you run the risk of having to sell low, which happened to me a couple of times.

Just give it a try with something small at first and see how it works out for you. Good luck!

It's only worth it if you already have things of value that you want to sell. Don't try to buy stuff and resell it at a higher price; you'll get nowhere.
