Why should i have to pay taxes as a minor when i cant VOTE cant DRIVE and basically have no control over my life. You know i can be taken away from my family at any time and put in a foster home if my school feels like my family is not taking proper care of me (a 16 year old)?!

If i dont have any rights why should i have to pay taxes.

i have a full time job. And you dont get your taxes back at the end of the year. Im paying %20 of everything i make to a government that doesnt give me any rights.

Of course i have some rights... but not as much as adults. But im being taxed just as much as an adult that makes my kind of money. How is that fair?

Do you go to school? If you do, then you cost the government about $20,000 per year to educate you. Look at the prices of private schools. They cost that much because they're NOT being subsidised by the government.

Do you ever ride on roads, highways, etc? Do you think they were free to put in?

There are so many services and things you use that were created with tax dollars that you obviously take for granted.

Also, I'm assuming you're past 2nd grade, so you should know that "I" is CAPITALIZED and a "?" QUESTION MARK goes at the end of a sentence that is a question.

If you don't know your basic grammar skills, you'll get a lousy, low paying job as an adult, so don't worry about it... you'll make next to nothing so you'll hardly be paying any taxes anyway.

Don't worry minor get used to paying the government with no reward and pay you must or they will take you to jail as an adult i have been abused by law enforcement and local judicial system with no relief due to a divorce in which i was the victim but since he came from wealth all the laws of the land couldn't help me because the cops judges and lawyers were paid off so i really don't trust any government it's no longer a place of justice and liberty for all you have to have money or the system will eat you up lock you up and harass you for fun

You use the school system. You are transported on our roads. Our military protects you. Laws are made that apply to you. You have access to public libraries. Emergency services are available to you. If you don't want to pay taxes, don't work and don't purchase anything. And no, you can't be taken away on a whim. Maybe you should quit feeling sorry for yourself.

You have the right and luxury to not work...

Voting and driving aren't going to change anything!!

In our nations history, there was a slogan that the early settlers would protest with.... "No taxation with out representation” the funny thing is that over 200 years later, the one place in our country that this still happens is in our nations capital. The residents of Washington DC pay their taxes yet they have no representation within our government.

You do have rights tard. You have the right to freedom of speech. You have the right the be free. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe in income taxes, I am a fair tax advocate. But, since there is an income tax, and you are making and income, you should have to pay.

You don't have to pay taxes unless you have a job. If you have a job where you have to pay taxes and you feel it's unfair, just work under the table until you're 18. You can nanny, mow lawns, clean houses, work on cars, wait tables, etc

As a minor, when taxes are taken out of your paycheck, you usually get it all back when you file at the end of the year. Otherwise, you don't pay taxes.

You have many rights.

If you're robbed you have the right to call the police who are paid for by taxes.

You have the right to attend a public school, paid for by taxes.

If your parents abuse you you have the right to the protection of the courts and to be housed and cared for by the state, paid for by taxes.

All these and many, many more rights are paid for by taxes. Why should you be exempt from contributing?
