He claims to support Organic farming, but he's championing GM canola, claiming that organic farmers can continue to grow organically right next door to GM farmers!

He hasn't addressed the issue of genetic pollution from one crop to the other.

Sorry to say I can believe just about every level of hypocrisy from a politician.

Whats worse is that a Canadian farmer was successfully sued because GM crops had been found growing on his land from an experimental plantation next to his farm for infringing on patent without paying a royalty. The stuff had just spread to his land. Thats the level the GM lobby operates on.

How many Australian pollies have been found with their hands in a pot of lobbyists money. As far as Brumby goes, I'm now watching that space.

I was extremely surprised at the announcement, and I cannot believe that Brumby has allowed GM conola production. He is being very hypocritical in his attitudes.
