just plain jim...its seems that if you can't answer the questions concerning who's God, and for what...that the state is not really sponsoring any specific religion, and the divide you dream of actually exists.

They want to remove Christianity from our culture. They DON'T want to remove God from our culture. They want to supplant God. Any offering of supplication, any prayer for deliverance, and adoration should be offered up to those who would drive Christianity from the public. They want you to fall at their feet and worship them. In short...they want to become God.

They should have charged you 10 points for this question.
No one is taking God out of your culture. There isn't supposed to be a US religion in the Constitution. The US culture and the US government aren't even remotely the same thing. The Pilgrims aren't the majority anymore. It's reality. Get used to it.
Who are you, BillO? Moral relativism? LMAO! There is no such thing as morality that isn't relative. It only seems absolute because you think you have God on your side. Osama thinks exactly the same way you do.

No one I have ever talked to about religion or God wants to remove it from our culture.
What many people do agree on is to make sure there is a wide separation between church and state. Some, like myself, believe that there is too much religious influence in our political system. Example, it is alleged that Bush got permission from God to go to war.
We have God in our pledge to our flag.
Who's God?
What God?
We have God on our money.
Who's God?
What God?
We have a prayer before we open up our legislative branches for business.
Why?
Who's God?
What God?
While we may have a republic type democratic system, it seems we also have creeping theocracy.
Which does one thing very well. Takes our eyes off the problems that really affect us. Like planning for our future. Instead we are overly consumed with things that don't affect the vast majority of us.
Peace
Jim

No, I think removing god from our culture would be akin of removing the Easter bunny neither are real so why allow people be brainwashed into believing that a fallacy is true? So the sheep are easier to corral? Easy marks for cash? I have never understood how all these Gods people worship are so weak and feeble that they need mere mortals to fight their battles and interpret their words. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

no, i just don't want the holy trinity shoved down my throat and made part of my daily life. it's not what i believe, therefore i shouldn't be forced to look at it face to face every single day. if i want my kid to be jesusified, i'll send them to a christian based school. people came to america to practice religious freedom. i practice no religion, and i should be allowed to do that w/out interference. no one can remove god from US culture, it's impossible, there are too many chrisitians, they kill for jesus, so i'd be afraid to implement an full out anti-god status, it'll never happen. what sucks is that a lot (not all, there are good christians) want to enforce their beliefs on everyone, everywhere, and in everything, and that's bullshit. i don't want my life dicated by people who follow myth.

Removing God from culture is reactionary. People are trying to remove religion from having power over them in their day to day lives. God got caught up in the crossfire.
