The right way is RARELY the easy way...
...congratulations...you seem to have done the right thing. I'm only wondering why it took 7 years...LOL! I walked on two jobs, both taking about one full year to confirm that what was being done was un-ethical. I've landed in a much better place now, and I sleep GREAT at night!!! It took awhile to find a good, honest, ethical employer in my field, but it's well worth it now. I struggled at first, but it's well worth it in the long run!
Good luck to you!

That's a real tough one. First of all yes you definitely did what was right. Good for you. On your interviews it's OK to be honest about your old job. You need to be. No, I don't think you need to bad mouth your old boss. Leave all the pacifics like that out of your answer. Do they really need to know that. I don't think so. Just tell them why you left, it is a good reason. If they ask for more details, be honest there too. Tell them you don't really feel comfortable going into that stuff. You are very cool person. You have a great outgoing personality. Friendly & energetic it seems. With your credenials you should have a great shot at landing something. Don't let this bother you. Good luck Robin. I believe you'll pull through!

It is good not wanting to badmouth. Maybe you could say something like you were distracted by the environment there and want a place where you are able to do your work. It sucks being out of work. I have been there too.
Especially this time of year. Most likely you will find something around January. If bills are tight you may want to sign up for temp work. However, hopefully there will always be a need for nursing assistants so I think you should find a job soon.
And YES, you did the right thing. It is amazing how unethical some people can be.

yes, you did the right thing and when potential employers ask why you left you don't have to get into the details ... they may be intimidated thinking that you are a troublemaker and see you as a liability.. not that you are OR that they are going to do anything unethical or illegal but they also may feel there are 2 sides to everythig and they havent found you to be trustworthy yet. they may think you were fired for something YOU did or given an option to quit or be let go and now you are scorned and turning it around. potential employers do not want to hear potential employees disrespecting past employers. the less conflict the better in their eyes. they also dont want to think that one day you might be out in the community trashing them if you all have a disagreement. i would say that you were ready for a change after so long, etc. GOOD LUCK in your new chapter, it will be what YOU make it to be!!! =)

You did the right thing.
Don't bad mouth your ex-employer as a potential employer will not hire you if you do as they will start thinking what happens when you leave them.
My advice would be to be more tactical and play the I needed a change and improve myself card. This way its not a lie and it shows that you have career ambitions.
I won't even try to guess what happened in the doctors office but if th matter goes to court and he is proved to be innocent then you could be liable for slander so becareful what you say.
Good luck to you and I really commend your ethics.

hey you didn't do anything wrong here if i was in your shoes i would have done the same thing. If your boss was not doing what he was supposed to it can cause you to get into deep trouble you saved yourself from a disaster and be honest. it doesn't mean that you are bad mouthing him when you look for employment it makes you look better as far as being right than wrong.

when it comes to getting a job and your future career i wouldn't be worried about an old boss. if you are truthful and honest when being interviewed they will see that you left for all the right reasons. don't feel bad or regret leaving. the doctor needs to go down on his own and not drag is staff down with him. im sure you will find a job soon. afterall the demand for medical health professionals is very high. good luck!!

You don't have to sit there and slam him for hours on end but you certainly can tell the truth. They need to know why you quit and just saying,''Oh, um, I-" is gonna look bad. Tell the truth as nicely as possible.
