Nikki, no need to yell...I have several jewish friends and we all celebrate together. They bring their Monorah over when I have my annual xmas party. We all get along just fine. I have no problem with how others spend thier christmas but I am tired of seeing people getting in trouble for expressing their beliefs in public.

So fellow Christian, how would you feel if every time you bought something, the cashier said Mazol Tov or happy Hanukkah?? So stop being so offended by people who are trying to be nice to all people that shop, not just Christians.

It really doesn't bother me. There are other holidays at this time of year, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa come to mind, and I like to share the spirit of the season with everyone. For me, Jesus is the Reason for the Season, but not for everyone else. Happy Holidays will do just fine.

I don't think people in stores should be forced either way. It seems thoughtful to be inclusive and say holidays.

Christmas in public is pretty secular anyway, so I just don't see a reason to get worked up about it. I'll go to church, and put some presents under the Giving Tree, and donate to the 100 Neediest Cases, and make the cards (non-denom) for the kids in hospitals and the soldiers...that's what makes it Christian for me, and I'll remember why I'm doing these things.

Nobody can take Christianity out of Christmas for you. You can only do that to yourself.

I know people are going to hate my answer because its typically "PC" but it IS holiday season. Hanukkah is now, Christmas is now, Kwanzaa is now - why does everything have to revolve only around the christians? What's wrong with saying "Happy Holidays"? If you're Indian, or Jewish, or Pagan, or whatever, "happy holidays' includes you. I just don't see the big deal about Happy Holidays!

Yes! I agree! They are trying to take Christianity from Christmas and make it a Holiday where you get what you want!

Yes! It is! You know, I have been going through my town, and all the signs say "Happy Holidays"! I wonder if there was only Christmas this time of year, what they would say... lol

It doesn't bother me. But I wish they wouldn't be so politically correct about the decorating. Why not put up decorations for Christmas AND Chanukah both? I hate it when they take the "holi" out of the "holidays".

I think people should be allowed to say what they went and not get into trouble. That is why they wrote the first amendment.
