Out of all the cars that aren't considere expensive as HELL, which models are the fastest out there and/or are easy to tweak and make faster but still be fuel efficient?

Iknow what I would get. Try to find a used Audi A3!!!! It represents the highest order of automotive technology, especially with the new automatic that has no torque converter! The A3 engine is direct injected, can go from 0-60 in less than 7 seconds, is a blast to drive, and returns highway numbers like 38.9 MPG. Also they are very easy to tweak to get as much as 265 HP out of a 2.0 liter engine. Because they are made from galvanized steel, they will probably never rust, and because they are German, they were designed to run at speeds of 125 and more without even getting hot. If you search the web, you can find one for under $20,000 nicely equipped with Bose and double sunroof, and shifter pedals on the steering wheel. Hardly anything can beat an Audi in crash tests or in materials and workmanship. In Germany, the S3 (which we sadly don't get in this country) will go 0-60 in around 5 seconds and still get outstanding MPG. What a miracle of engineering!!!

how expensive? sense everyones answered for somewhere less than around 30 thousand, ill answer differently.
The Jaguars are great cars. this is the last year of the S-type. The 2009 XF is replacing it. they have great quality, fast (around 165 ish top speed, 0-60 in a little under 6 seconds) anyways, check em out.
