i don't know of any programs, but i can help you create a WEP security code so only you can go on it.

type in 192.168.1.1 on the address bar, leave name blank, and type "admin" no quotes for the password.

click on the wireless tab, and then wireless security. set up a passphrase such as "mypass" and it will create a code from it. and apply and exit. Anything that wants to run off the router will need that code that you generated, you may put those in your psp. wii, xbox, etc.

linksys has excellent techincal support 24/7

suggest that you call them, they will give you support specific to your particular model and version, they can also help you with firmware updates should the be required you will find the number in the papers / manuals that came with your device(s)

Yes, you need to set the WEP, and yes there is a way to find out the computers that use the LAN on the router/switch itself there is a register.

hope this helps. wizo

You MUST set encryption on the router for your own protection. Not only does an open connection allow people to steal your connection and run cracks against your machine from inside your network, they can be sending illegal emails from your connection, if they are traced the authorities can break into your home and confiscate your equipment.

I don't recall the exact tab or link in the Linksys console but if you go to the DHCP configuration and you'll see DHCP clients you'll see who is on your network. you can also set up simple MAC filtering and set it so only YOUR device can get on the network. This is an alternative from the WEP/WAP configuration.
