Now that a lot of us are into winter what kinds of things are you planning, hoping to take part in? Skiing, skating, cross country skiing, snow mobiling, ice fishing, running out of the sauna to roll in the snow and then back into the sauna again? We used to do that with our hot tub - the kids and I, boy that kick starts your heart and gets it going real good.

I'm right there with you Sage Seeker, I miss the skiing sometimes but I hate to fall into the wet snow so much that I once went down the hill backwards on one ski right to the bottom - bunny hill - rather than give it up to that horrible wet cold snow --

Fireplace, a bag of chips, pepsi and a book, or once in awhile a glass of wine and a nice cuddly throw - couldnt bring myself to go the store today because it meant scraping the windshield.

Before I am accused of lying again, rolling in the snow and jumping back into the hot tub or sauna is different than falling in it on the ski hill and staying cold for the rest of the day

We've had the sauna going a few times already and yes, cross country and snow shoeing. Will be glad to be out of it very soon!

I'm getting ready to go snowboarding. I don't do anything scary, just like to cruise nice and slow down the slopes. Since I live in the mountains and fairly close to a resort, it's easier and closer than most of the things I like to do.
One year, while skiing in Utah, my husband and I were sitting in a jacuzzi and it was snowing. On a dare, I climbed out and rolled in the snow then jumped back into the jacuzzi. He was impressed so he had to do it too.
I love the winter and can't wait for it to start snowing.

Unfortunately it never gets cold enough here . It snowed two years ago on Christmas eve when my whole family was here
celebrating, for the first time in 50 years. Since I just had surgery a couple of mo's ago I'm still on the mend so couldn't play if I wanted. I wish I could go ice skating.
Good question.

We don't get much snow here, only a couple times a year. When we do, we go out and make a snow man, throw some snowballs or take a walk in it. When we younger in WV we enjoyed doing these things out in the snow all day and also went sledding. Then we'd come in for cookies and cocoa.

The only winter activity I will be involved in is shoveling the snow from the walks and driveway. I really don't like the cold.

Movie watching with popcorn and a quilt.
My hubby and I like to sit outside with the fire pit and roast marshmallows and drink hot cocoa. But we won't be doing that this winter. He has cancer. But we love movies and don't like the cold.
