I am in middle school and have a HUGE chapter one history project tomarrow does anyone have a good study technique i can use that will actually help me? thanks a million!!!

Yes.
First, get off your computer and open your book.
Now, draw yourself a time line, and as you read, note down things in the order they happen. It often helps to have a visual. Don't just say "the book has one I can look at" because part of the learning process is to make your own.
The next thing is find everything in that chapter that's in BOLD. Make sure you can define each one of those. At middle school level, that's how they indicate what's important.

Find someplace quiet. Read the text outloud, as though you were teaching a class. After every couple of paragraphs you read, ask your "class" a question or two.

I'm not sure how a study technique will help with your history project, but this is a very good way to study. When my son was in 8th grade, I was going to college. We were both taking American History, same time period. He's learning disabled, but learns very well through auditory methods. We developed this technique for the two of us. Sometimes, I asked him questions and sometimes he asked me.
