I am asking again because people do not want to answer that question. Just look at the one dollar bill or u.s. passport to see that there is a star of david (you need to join the dots but can't miss it unless you're completely blind). It is all over us government seals, from supreme court to what not.
What do americans have to do with the star of david?.

"The stars of the original 13 states were arranged in the form of the star of David but this was probably a biblical reference rather than being exclusively Jewish."
and what do americans have to do with a reference to the star of david? 98% of americans would not associate themselves with the star of david in any shape of form, biblical or otherwise.

offshoot or a splinter is not the question. Christians symbolize with the cross not srar of david. Christianity and Judaism are not the same.

"And to kychick (below) the menora has eight candles not seven."
there is no other star that resembles the one on the dollar bill but the star of david, no matter how you look at it. it is a two traingle inversion, clear and simple.

This is from my research on google.
"General Washington's financial advisor and assistant was a Jewish man by the name of Hyam Salomon. During the cold winter months at Valley Forge when American soldiers were freezing and running out of food, it was Hyam who marshaled all the Jews in America and Europe to provide money in relief aid to these stranded American troops and turned the course of history. Without this help, Washington's Continental Army, and the fate of the American Colonies would have perished before they could have defeated the British.
"If you take a one dollar bill out of your pocket and look at the back at the Eagle, the stars above the Eagle's head are in the six point Star of David to honor Jews. If you turn the Eagle upside down you will see a configuration in the likeness of a Menorah....both at the insistence of George Washington who said we should never forget the Jewish people and what they have done in the interest of America."
EDIT: The quote says "likeness" of the Menorah. I am by no means an expert in this field. Found the subject interesting and reported what I found.
2n EDIT: FYI "Secrets of the dollar bill" is airing tonight on History I at 9:00 pm et.

Well I think you must be in LaLa land as I am not blind and I looked at one of the old style one dollar bills and there is NO star of david!
Besides, what if there were? Our country is supposed to be representative of freedom of religion. Did you ever bother to see what the pyramid with the eye represents? If you are going to attack the design of the bill, make sure you look into what everything represents before you do.
Most of the symbolism on the bill is representative of the Freemasons. Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, William Churchill Houston, and William Barton were all freemasons and founding fathers.
Sounds to me that you may be an anti-Semite's or just a plain ole bigot!
Now that you know about the Freemasons, are you going to gripe about that? Would you complain about a cross? The design is what it is. Deal With It!

The Constellation of 13 Stars (the official title of this symbol) originally started as 13 stars placed at random above the eagle's head. Over time, it has changed -- it has been placed on a shield, arranged inside of a circle, and eventually developed into the hexagram shape that is used today.
It does look like the Star of David (which is also a hexagram shape) but I think in this instance it is really a MASONIC symbol. George Washington and a good number of the other founding fathers were members of the Masons, and other Masonic imagery (the unfinished pyramid, for example) is used on the Dollar Bill.

Added: Jesus WAS a Jew, Christianity didn't start until years after he was gone. He was a Rabbi in fact. How can you not know this? And you can be a Jew and a Christian. They even have a group called Jews for Jesus. The Old Testament is the Jewish Torah.
