Caring doesn't help anyone.
Poor families are usually poor because our system makes it easy for them to survive while doing very little, or doing a lot but doing it all wrong.
I think instead of "caring" it would be better for our education system to teach people when they are teenagers about how to avoid such conditions.
Ever wonder why your parents tell you to stay in school, get a job, save your money, stay off drugs/alcohol, etc? They aren't stupid - they know what will keep you living your life. If you ignore it, I couldn't care less if you starve.

Something should be done by us Americans, not our government. For one in order to take care of them would take billions of dollars annually meaning more taxes. Are you willing to pay more federal tax when the majority of Americans are almost at there wits end about them?

Our government provides too much help for poor people.
Its why they have no reason to try to better their lives.
