really nice location (upstate NY) 1 bdrm (2 closets) huge living room with fire place medium sized kitchen old appliances updated dishwasher balcony (no dinning room) average sized bathroom. coin operated laundry in basement nice area....im new to the whole moving out thing so any advice please!

Depends where in upstate you are talking about. $575 is a decent deal in the more major cities of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, etc.

$575 would be overpaying in the small towns of most of upstate. You could get a 2 or even a 3 BR for $575 in some of those areas.

One thing to be concious about is who pays for the heat and what is the heat. If you pay and it's electric, RUN.

Depends on the area. Only somebody who really knows the prices in that particular area can answer your question.
In my area this price would be a bargain, but in some other areas it's way too high. Compare it to other places in the immediate area and you'll have an idea.

I'd make sure about that price. Also, I hope you have actually SEEN the apartment. Descriptions are deciving some times. Sounds a bit low for what you are describing.
