I just watched 1408 and loved it. I wish most movies like this had no gore in it like this one. Any other recomendations?

White Noise with Michael Keaton is a good scary ghost movie with no gore. The story revolves around Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP), so the emphasis is on suspense, not gore.

M. Night Shyamalan films are pretty scary and aren't usually gorey. Try Signs, The Village, Lady in the Water.
